Why Uncharted exists
Uncharted Yachting was established to address a structural gap in superyacht operations.
As yachts move beyond traditional cruising grounds, the distance between global standards and local reality increases.
Regulation is applied unevenly. Infrastructure is inconsistent. Local knowledge is fragmented.
This is where operations fail — not at sea, but ashore.
Uncharted exists to bridge that gap, providing captains, managers, and owners
with a competent,
governance-led agency capable of translating international expectations into correct
local execution.
Uncharted Yachting is a superyacht agency
We are not:
- A charter brokerage
- A yacht sales platform
- A lifestyle or concierge brand
- A marketing intermediary
We operate as shore-side infrastructure
Supporting superyachts through:
- Port and regulatory agency services
- Charter enablement and compliance
- Yacht and charter management
- Destination intelligence and operational advisory
Our work is largely invisible when done correctly.
How we operate
Our operating philosophy is built on three principles:
- Compliance is non-negotiable
- Local knowledge without governance is a liability
- If it cannot be defended to insurers or authorities, it should not be done
Every engagement is assessed through:
- Regulatory defensibility
- Operational risk
- Reputational exposure
We prioritise correctness over speed, and structure over improvisation.
Our role in the superyacht ecosystem
Uncharted works alongside, not in competition with, the existing superyacht ecosystem.
We support:
- Captains and crew
- Yacht managers
- Central agencies and brokers
- Owners and family offices
- Insurers and professional advisors
Our role is to ensure that local execution does not undermine global strategy.
Destination-led by design
Seychelles and the wider Indian Ocean are not brochure destinations.
They are operational environments defined by:
- Distance and exposure
- Draft sensitivity
- Limited infrastructure
- Developing regulatory frameworks
Uncharted is designed specifically for these conditions.
Our destination intelligence is:
- Operational, not promotional
- Experience-based, not theoretical
- Updated through active engagement with authorities and vessels
Management with accountability
Uncharted provides yacht and charter management where governance and operational control are required.
This includes:
- Private yacht management
- Charter-ready management and operator roles
- Commercial licensing and Hire Craft compliance
- Financial, tax, and revenue governance
- Insurance and liability alignment
Management is treated as a risk-control function, not an administrative service.
Captain-centric by definition
The Captain remains the final authority onboard.
Uncharted’s role is to:
- Reduce administrative burden
- Provide accurate shore-side interpretation
- Maintain continuity between vessel, flag, and local authorities
- Support decisions without overriding command
We enable captains to operate confidently in jurisdictions that require careful navigation ashore.
Discretion as standard
Superyacht operations demand restraint.
Uncharted operates with:
- Controlled information flows
- Confidential reporting structures
- No public exposure of assets
- Clear contractual and operational boundaries
Our credibility depends on what we do not disclose as much as what we do.
The Uncharted difference
Uncharted is not defined by visibility.
It is defined by:
- Correct entry
- Clean operations
- Defensible compliance
- Quiet exits
When a yacht departs without issue, delay, or scrutiny — our work is complete.
